Now accepting new clients!
Veterinarian
Dr. Chin has been practicing veterinary medicine since graduating from OVC at the University of Guelph in 1993. He opened Highbury North in 2003 with the goal of having a friendly, professional team that educates clients so we can create partnerships in excellent pet care with owners.
Dr. Chin dreamt of a career in animal care as he wanted to reduce and prevent suffering of animals. He started in 1993 working with both farm animals and pets, then worked as a locum relief veterinarian all over Ontario before opening his own practice in 2003. He most enjoys the variety of care we give pets throughout their varied stages of life. From puppies and kittens to seniors, care can vary from behaviour counselling, dietary medical therapy, diagnostic challenges, anesthesia, surgery and dental care.
When away from work, he can be found biking, running, snowboarding or cross country skiing, canoeing or hiking and spending time outdoors with his wife Kathy, with whom he started the practice and their sheltie, Merlin who is always up for walks, fetch or a hike no matter the time of year!
Dr. Chin has a strong belief in taking care of others in the community and in need so he supports a number of charities locally and internationally for people and animals such London Food Bank, Mission Services, World Vision and The Farley Foundation (see our Giving Back page). He was also a member of the Fanshawe Optimist service club.
Receptionist
Lindsay has been working in veterinary medicine since 2002 and studied in the area of veterinary care at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus.
Before joining the HNPH team, she has worked with farm animals including horses and ponies as well as cats and dogs.
Lindsay chose to pursue a career in animal care due to her lifelong love of animals. The part of veterinary medicine that she enjoys most is serving clients, client communication and troubleshooting with tech and equipment in the clinic.
Her favourite animal is an Irish Wolfhound (specifically her previous dog Creed,) and her second favourite animal is a sloth!
When she is not at the clinic, Lindsay and her husband love to spend time with their daughters as well as travel.
Veterinary Technician
Neera has been working in veterinary medicine since 2016 and graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from Anand Agricultural University in Gujarat, India.
Before joining the HNPH team, she provided care to animals as a veterinarian in rural communities including wellness checkups, vaccinations and wound care.
Neera was motivated to pursue a career in animal care by a family friend who is a veterinarian. She loves animals and is fulfilled by caring for them. The part of veterinary medicine that she enjoys most is processing lab work. Neera is also working to become a licensed veterinarian in Canada. Her favourite animal is a horse!

Veterinary Assistant
Tyra has been working in the area of animal care since 2014 with experience ranging from rescue work to emergency veterinary medicine. When she is able to, Tyra also enjoys participating in local stray trap, neuter, release (TNR) initiatives, or anything else involving stray/feral cats.
Tyra was motivated to pursue a career in animal care as she has had a lifelong love for animals and was involved with rescuing pets from a young age. Her first rescue experience included bottle feeding orphaned baby raccoons. Her favourite animal is a cow!
Tyra and her wife have 4 cats - Herb, Louie, Chicken, and Papaya.
As well as 2 dogs - Cleo, a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix and Cowboy, a Chihuahua.
Treat Eater
Cleo has been a dog since November 2011. Most of her talent is in the area of being small and cute, but also specializes in politely asking for treats from the rest of the team and anyone else who crosses her path. She loves to accompany her mum to work and greet all the patients that come in - she especially loves kittens!
In the future Cleo hopes to receive more treats from her friends and expand her very fashionable wardrobe.
